Dr3- Geofencing (barrières immatérielles) : problématiques techniques et de sécurité

Geofencing is a main component of U-space . It should addresses both security and safety issues.

• it enhances civil aviation safety
• It prevents flights over sensitive sites, critical infrastructures or dangerous aeras
• It prevents malicious use and in any case will makes much more difficult a terrorist use

Geofencing is also a function requested by users to efficiently operate their drones

Geofencing is also a function necessary for the drones’ manufacturers to limit their responsibility.

Geofencing appears to be complex, many questions arise about réglementations , standardization , mandatory or advisory ,data baseintegrity,updating, etc.

The presentation will address all these issues and will call for discussion and debate.
